About

Teddy's Private Academy and Care is a large family child care home established in August of 2011. We are a 23-hour child care & early music pedagogy.  

Our day class services children ages 16mths - 23mths for our infant care program, 2 yrs. - 5 yrs. for our pre-school program, and 5 yrs. - 17 yrs. for our after-school program. We also offer evening care and overnight care Monday - Saturday for infants, toddlers and older. We are closed on Sundays.  

Our facility is wheelchair accessible with extra wide doorways & ramps.  Our meals are always homemade, never frozen and we accommodate all dietary needs, at no extra cost. Children will always receive their proper daily amount of fruits & vegetables when they are in our care, so you never have to worry about their healthy daily intake.

The classroom is run by both Mrs. Iris covering pre-school curriculum and Mr. Daniel who handles the early music education portion of our program.  We have 4 student teachers that we utilize from time-to-time especially during our summer sessions.  2 of our student teachers offer private tutoring sessions for grades 1st - 6th all year round.  

We offer a smaller classroom ratio than public pre-schools do. Because of the smaller ratio, this guarantees that each child will receive more attention and more one-on-one time with our teachers. We offer a play-based, Montessori-inspired program that allows children to grow and expand their minds through hands-on experience, educational play and early music exposure.
